  1. Hi Karl, I stumbled upon your blog when I was looking up information for expats living in Poland. I really enjoy it, look forward to new posts! My boyfriend is from Poland and I have been looking at finishing my studies at the University of Wroclaw. How do you find the city for young people / foreigners (who don't speak Polish)? Any huge pros or cons?

  2. Hey Emily, sorry for the late reply. I've recently returned to Australia, so the blog is unfortunately more or less defunct now.

Wroclaw is well suited to young people. Lots of students, including lots of foreign students thanks to Erasmus, the EU exchange program. Younger people tend to speak English, so the language barrier wouldn't be a problem.

Poland is a very bureaucratic country, and it's not something they do particularly well. This is a big negative, but if you can arrange visa's and things before you go, or if you have someone with you who can speak Polish and who is committed to your cause (bf and gfs are ideal for this :D) then you should be fine. :)

All the very best with it. :)
